Information Technology
Most law firms include biographical and contact information for all of their lawyers on their websites. However, most do not include other key members of the client services team. At Moran Brown, however, we value all of our employees and the services they provide to our clients. In particular, we recognize the need to provide cost-effective representation through leading edge technology. Therefore, we are fortunate to have a talented, experienced Information Technology Director, Michael Arnold to help manage our efforts. Michael has his B.A. degree from Devry Institute of Technology and has worked in the IT arena for 13 years.
Technology assistance Michael provides to clients and lawyers of the firm include:
. Document management
. Extranet and website design and implementation
. Electronic discovery
. Remote data access setup
. Trial and symposia presentation systems
. Computer and electronic information auditing
. Business continuity planning
Complex litigation, especially litigation involving mass torts, requires a high level of coordination and communication and frequently involves electronic discovery. We recently created an e-book which allowed the review of materials, including underlying documents and interviews, even while on a plane. Lawyers and technology departments do not always speak the same language. Michael serves as a liaison to our client's IT personnel and provides the sometimes necessary link between legal services and information services. For those clients who do not have a technology staff, his participation and advice is indispensible.
